Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor Bin Hj. Mahfar started his career as a Bank Officer in 1978. A year later he took a leap to work with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) as an Assessment Officer. He rose through the ranks in IRBM, appointed Deputy CEO of Compliance, Deputy CEO of Operations, and CEO in January 2011 until his retirement in December 2016.

Throughout the years, he received many accolades and awards. He was elected President of the Malaysian Association of Statutory Bodies and Chairman of The Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrations (CATA), awarded the CEO of the Year 2015 by The European Emerging Markets Awards and received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award- Outstanding Contribution in Shaping People by the Asia HRD Award.

Equipped with 36 years of vast experience both in taxation and management throughout his tenureship with IRBM, he now leads his own Tax and Management firm known as MSM Management Advisory. With his continuous engagement in the tax related field, he was subsequently appointed to the board of directors of IRBM, Chairman of McMillan Woods National Tax Firm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Chairman of Uniutama Education and Consultancy (up to December 2018).

    Lim Hun Soon @ David Lim holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
    degree in Economics from University of Leeds, United
    Kingdom. Mr Lim joined Peat Marwick Mitchell (now known
    as KPMG), United Kingdom in 1978. He returned to Malaysia
    in 1982 and continued his career in KPMG Malaysia until his
    retirement in 2011. He was admitted as partner of KPMG
    Malaysia in 1990 and was in the Management Committee
    from 1997 to 2001 and served on the Partnership Supervisory
    Council from 2002 to 2010. In 2006, he was tasked to start
    up the Audit Committee Institute, Malaysia (“ACI Malaysia”),
    which was a virtual worldwide initiative sponsored by KPMG
    to assist Independent Directors in enhancing their awareness
    and ability to implement effective board processes. He actively
    served as an examiner for Company Law examinations in the
    Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“MICPA”)
    for over a period of ten (10) years. He was also the Chairman
    of the MICPA Code of Ethics Committee and a member of the
    Malaysian Institute of Accountants Code of Ethics Committee
    from 2002 to 2004. In May 2013, Mr Lim was appointed as
    a Council member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants
    in England & Wales (ICAEW), an accolade bestowed upon
    Malaysia following from ICAEW’s 130 years history. Mr Lim’s
    term as Council member was renewed for a third term of two
    years to year 2019.

    Mr Lim holds directorships in public listed companies,
    Manulife Holdings Berhad, Sasbadi Holdings Bhd, Kawan
    Food Berhad and Ranhill Holdings Berhad. He was also
    previously a Director in IJM Land Berhad which was privatised

    Lim Hong Hock was attached to Kimberly-Clark Corp., a U.S. based Fortune 500 company dealing in consumer paper products in United States of America and later relocated to Malaysia as its Production Manager from 1995 to 2000. In 2004, he joined Ann Joo Steel Berhad (“AJSB”) in the position of Senior Vice President and was subsequently appointed as the Executive Director of AJSB on 1 July 2008. He was also appointed as the Director of Ann Joo Integrated Steel Sdn Bhd in September 2008 and was the pioneer team involved in setting up of the first modern Blast Furnace in Malaysia. Following the restructuring of Ann Joo Group in 2010, he has been designated as the Director – Operations of Manufacturing Division.
    Mr Lim sits on the Board of several private limited companies.

    Mr Lim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from University of Wisconsin, Madison, United States of America.

    Dato’ Lim Aun Chuan started his career with Ann Joo Group as a management trainee in 2000 and served as the Business Development Executive for Anshin Steel Industries Sdn Bhd (“ASI”) (now known as Ann Joo Green Energy Sdn Bhd) in 2001. Dato’ Lim was seconded to Anshin Steel Processor Sdn Bhd (“ASP”) in the following year as its Operations Manager and progressed to become the General Manager and then, Executive Director in 2004. In the same year, he served also on the Board of Directors of the Group’s subsidiaries and then in 2008, was made the Head of Strategic Business Unit 4 of the Group. Dato’ Lim continues to assume a key role in the subsidiary companies of Ann Joo Group, namely Managing Director of ASP, Saga Makmur Industri Sdn Bhd and the Executive Director of ASI. Following the restructuring of Ann Joo Group in 2010, Dato’ Lim was made the Commercial Director for the Trading Division before moving to assume the role of Managing Director of Trading Division in September 2012 until current. Dato’ Lim took charge of the Sales & Marketing of the Group with effect from 2016. In year 2017, Group Human Resources came under Dato’ Lim’s purview and it was further extended to Manufacturing Division in 2020. Subsequently in 2021, Dato’ Lim was tasked and officially with effect from 2017, Group Human Resources also came under his purview.
    Dato’ Lim sits on the Board of several private limited companies. He is the Vice President III, Chairman of the Human Resource Development Committee and Chairman of the Steel Mills Group Sector of Malaysian Iron And Steel Industry Federation (MISIF).

    Dato’ Lim holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from University of Arkansas, United States of America and a Master of Science in Business Administration (Major in Finance) from University of Charles Sturt, Australia.

    Dato’ Lim Hong Thye joined the Company in August 2000. He was immediately seconded to the main associate of the Company, Malayawata Steel Berhad (“MYS”) as Head of Finance. He was appointed to the Board of the Company on 1 January 2003 and to the Board of MYS on 15 January 2004. He was appointed as the President of MYS and was instrumented in leading the merger exercise of the Company and MYS, thus setting the foundation of transforming the Company into the leading steel company in Malaysia. He was appointed as the Group Managing Director of the Company on 30 June 2008 and under his leadership, Ann Joo Resources Berhad Group embarked its Vision 2020 to transform itself into a leading steel group in South East Asia. MYS became a 100%-owned subsidiary of the Company and name changed to Ann Joo Steel Berhad (“AJSB”). The Company also started the first modern Blast Furnace in Malaysia via a Special Purpose Vehicle, Ann Joo Integrated Steel Sdn Bhd. These series of initiatives have transformed AJSB into the lowest cost steel producer in Malaysia and the Company as the largest steel company by market capitalisation in Malaysia since 2016

    In May 2018, Dato’ Lim was elected as the President of Malaysian Iron and Steel Industry Federation (MISIF) for a term of 3 years from 2018 to 2021. He serves as a Director from Malaysia of South East Asia Iron & Steel Institute (SEAISI) and Vice President of Asean Iron and Steel Council (AISC). He also serves on the Board of Malaysia Steel Institute (MSI), a government agency under Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) overseeing the development of steel industry in Malaysia as well as in several private limited companies.

    Besides that, Dato’ Lim is also active in social and charity works. He has been the Turstee of Yayasan Jasa Ann Joo since 2018. He holdis the position of Chairman of the Jabatan Kerja Kemajuan Sekolah-sekolah Rendah Cina, Subang Jaya and the Chairman of  Board of Governors of Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Lick Hung. He is also a member in the Board of Governors of Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Katholik, PJ. In December 2021, he was appointed as the Council Member of the United Chinese School Committes’ Association of Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.

    Dato’ Lim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from The University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow member of CPA Australia (FCPA) and a Chartered Accountant of The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Prior to joining the Company, he was with the Assurance & Advisory Service Unit of Price Waterhouse and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
